Colombian artist Alejandro Londoño presents his new one-minute film Creative Soul, a contemporary art piece that explores creative anxiety and the inner drive that fuels the artistic process.
The idea for this project was born after Londoño visited a place of striking beauty called Jardín de los Silleteros, where stories about its owner left a deep impression on him. From that experience came first an unpublished pastel painting, and upon completing it, the inspiration for the film emerged.
Shot in a single take, Creative Soul shows the artist contemplating his painting while a voice-over confesses:
“Creative anxiety has once again taken hold of me. Facing it is difficult because it feels like a drug that turns me into an addict…”
This one-minute film not only highlights Londoño’s work as a visual artist but also weaves in his musical vision, using the track from his latest song as its score. The result is a brief yet powerful experience that blends art, music, and reflection.
In the coming days, Alejandro Londoño will unveil the pastel artwork that inspired this video.
