“Art is a state of communion between the artist and their work”.
Alejandro Londoño
Although his music career began spontaneously, Alejandro Londoño has proven to be a versatile artist, successfully venturing into music. It all started on September 29, 2020, when Alejandro, inspired by a song his friend and producer El Mono Betancur was composing for actress Aura Cristina Geithner, decided to perform that same song himself. This led to the release of his debut single, “De Qué Material,” a bossa nova track released in May 2021. This first step marked the beginning of his love for music, as during the production of the video, Alejandro discovered he could express his art through visual and performing arts.
Guided by several private teachers, Alejandro explored and developed his vocal skills. His musical approach aims to integrate these visual and performing elements, seeking a unique style that sets him apart in the industry.
In 2022, Alejandro released his first EP titled Con El Alma, produced in collaboration with Rosemberg Serna and El Mono Betancur, which included four tracks with 80s sounds. This work reflected his desire to connect his visual art with his music.
2024 has been a year of great activity for Alejandro, with the release of several singles, including “Como El Sol,” “Caliente,” and “Mujer Latina.” These songs demonstrate his artistic evolution and his ability to resonate with a broader audience.
A significant milestone in Alejandro’s career in 2024 was his entry into the Latin Recording Academy (Latin Grammys) as an official member starting in January. Additionally, Alejandro has been nominated for the Cristo Rey de Cali awards as Best New Voice. This highlights his growth in the music industry and validates his commitment to artistic excellence.
Currently, Alejandro is working on new songs and promoting his music career with a renewed focus that combines the energy of the 80s with more upbeat lyrics. His commitment to his art and passion for music continue to drive him to new heights.
The creative process consists of three steps: Inspiration, creation, and contemplation.
