Artist statement

I am an artist with a marked interest in selfhood, otherness, and time. Of the latter, I am interested in the moral, spiritual, and emotional particularities that the human being presents during its course. I approach these themes from personal emotions resulting from my interaction and appreciation of the environment, people, and their behavior with it, and/or from the life experiences of other individuals, to which I approach with investigative and sensitive approaches to produce works loaded with symbolic material.

I explore from the figurative to the abstract and the conceptual, using different painting and sculptural techniques, such as: Transfigured faces with deep gazes in drawing, the indigenous in oil, the abstract in acrylic, the conceptual in sculpture and photography. These are particularities of my work that enclose a halo of mystery and mysticism, sometimes with androgynous characteristics that are also appreciated in performance and writing.

DIGITAL

DIGITAL

I've always been drawn to new technologies and the ability to create original works using specialized software; it's perhaps one of my favorite techniques.

PHOTOGRAPHY

PHOTOGRAPHY

In itself, I never liked photography. It wasn't until my first class in Fine Arts that I began to fall in love with this beautiful art.

SCULPTURE

My journey through sculpture has been brief, and I don't rule out exploring it again in the future. I hope you enjoy my first attempts.
